In the genre that includes action and adventure games, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is going to be difficult to beat. With his lightening fast reflexes and talent for causing pain to his enemies, Ryu Hyabusa makes other action heroes scramble for their utility belts. Building on the two previous Ninja Gaiden games, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge offers all of the blood, gore, action, and combat that you expect from the franchise with more depth to the characters than ever before. Gain some insight into Ryu Hyabusa’s humanity while you marvel at his swordsmanship. Unlike the previous games in this series, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge gives you more actual story to accompany the action.
Taking place in London, Ryu Hyabusa travels to the Prime Minister’s home where he is cursed with the violent “Grip of Death.” Feeding on the deaths of his enemies, the curse will kill Ryu if he does not comply with its directive. The action is intense and bloody as Ryu moves from London to the Rub’ al Khali desert where he faces the “Regent of the Mask.” Big boss battles and plenty of suspense make Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge the best of the Ninja Gaiden games so far. This version has updated graphics that bring you so close to the gore that you can hear the blood drip from the tip of Ryu’s sword.
Rated M for Mature, this game is not for the kids in the family. Even adults will be surprised at the sheer quantity and quality of the blood and gore in this new adventure. From severed heads to disemboweled torsos, there is nothing left to the imagination when it comes to gory battle scenes. Ryu Hyabusa is an action hero for the veteran gamer and for newbies to this franchise because of his extreme skill with his weapons. Fighting against his enemies, Ryu makes you look good on those controls. With additional options for the Wii U Gamepad, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is well worth its price tag.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is a single player game that offers multiplayer options in its online version. Since Ryu is a solitary man, this makes sense as far as game play. Depending on your tolerance for hack and slash gore, you will appreciate the upgraded graphics and improved sound in this newest version of the game. Although reviews of its first release were mixed, the Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge version for Wii U promises to be a spectacular experience in action and adventure gaming that fans of the franchise will not want to miss.
